Out of no reason, I like the date of Aug. 12. My anniversary with this new land is actually Aug. 13.
7 years ago, I said "bye" to my sweetheart, and to my mom over the phone, of course with tears.
Flying with a group of new schoolmates, came to the far far away country;
then taking a 3.5 hour night bus, came to the quiet college town where I have spent the last 7 years of my life.

I like the university. after 6.5 years, I found I can't leave her. Not sure how much I have learned during the years, even not sure if it's the best way to spend my life, I just love it, it has become part of myself.

Sometimes I hypothesize what my life would be like if I had not chosen this path. I'd have much more time with my family, I'd have a different kid (see how much different siblings can be), and I'd be thinking very different things, or not much different, because I would have surely pursued a doctoral degree as well.  In fact, it's just a different way of spending my life. This way or that way, there is only one way. One person has only one life, which is the most amazing part of life. Only when one door closes, can another door open.

I am happy and fortunate to have my sweetheart accompany with me, have met many diversified people and had a few friends. Life becomes rich and colorful because of them.
